Dr. Adrienne Wood graduated from UC Davis in 2007. (Dr. Palermo and Dr. Wood were classmates 😉 Dr. Wood did an internship at an equine surgical and medical center in New Jersey and then spent her first 2 years working on horses and alpacas.  After that, she decided to make the change to Small animal medicine. She started Small animal general practice in 2009 at Banfield Pet hospital in New Jersey, where she met her current husband Marc. She moved back to California in 2013 and opened a new location for Banfield in Santa Rosa. She was a Chief of Staff then Area Chief of Staff for that company for many years. In January of 2023, Dr Wood decided to embark on a new adventure by buying Sonoma Valley Pet Clinic.

Dr. Wood lives locally in Sonoma with her husband Marc and 6-year-old son Antonio. She looks forward to growing the practice, and is hoping to expand to a multi doctor practice one day, maybe even with a canine rehabilitation clinic. Dr. Wood and her team are really enjoying being here!

Megan is a Registered Veterinary Technician at Sonoma Valley Pet Clinic. She has worked with Dr. Wood for the better part of the last 9 years. Megan grew up in Santa Rosa and loves how beautiful it is everywhere in Sonoma County. She earned her BA in Fine Art prior to starting her career in the veterinary field. When Megan is not at work, she is either creating art (printmaking), playing badminton, or taking her dog (Lily) and cat (Pearl) out for adventures together.

Sarah is one of our Registered Veterinary Technicians. She met Dr. Wood years ago when she first started working in veterinary medicine.

Sarah attended the RVT program at the Santa Rosa Junior College, she graduated in 2018. After working and gaining experience she passed the board exam and became licensed in 2020.

Sarah has a yellow lab named Marley, and two cats named Bandit and Latte. Her hobbies include cuddling with her animals, puttering in her garden, and hiking.

Dr. Kristin Renkei grew up in San Diego, California. She volunteered at the SPCA at a young age knowing she wanted to work with animals. Dr. Renkei made her way to UC Davis for her undergraduate degree in Animal Sciences and completed her veterinary degree at The University of Glasgow in Scotland. She loved being abroad and still has a passion for travel. 

Coming back to The States, Dr. Renkei completed a small animal internship at Animal Specialty Group in Los Angeles before entering general practice. She eventually became medical director at Mohawk Small Animal Hospital where she enjoyed caring for her patients over the years and catching up with their pet parents. 

Dr. Renkei moved up to Northern California in 2023 with her husband and fur babies (2 dogs and 1 cat). She loves being up here, exploring hiking trails, new restaurants and meeting some wonderful people. Dr. Renkei is happy to see you and your furry baby soon!
